The Austin/Morris/Rover Mini/Healey story (2026)

SBCC is utilizing our "Brits by the Bess" to highlight the history of some of the British Marques.

For 2026, we have chosen the "Austin/Morris/Rover Mini/Healey story".

The history of Austin, Morris, Rover, and Austin-Healey is a saga of mergers and iconic engineering that defined the British automotive industry for over four decades. While they were once fierce rivals, these brands eventually became sister companies under the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors, famously sharing platforms for legendary vehicles like the Mini and the Sprite.  The following are just a few examples from vehicles owned and maintained by members of the SBCC.
