Valve cover racing!
Thanks to the generosity of the Draggins car club, the SBCC will once again be volunteering at their valve cover racing track during the upcoming show (April 3rd and 4th). For those unfamiliar, valve cover racing is a fun, hands-on event where participants build and race small cars made from engine valve covers down a track. Last year, we saw fantastic enthusiasm from young visitors, and we’re eager to make this year’s event even bigger.
To help families prepare, we’re hosting a “Valve Cover Racing for Beginners” session, Tuesday March 3rd, 6:30PM to 8:00PM at the Nutana Legion.
This is a great opportunity for kids and teens to learn basic engineering skills, enjoy some friendly competition, and connect with fellow enthusiasts. If you have young people in your family who might be interested, please come on out on March 3rd. The racing rules are HERE for your convenience, and we’re happy to provide guidance on materials to help anyone get started.
If you have any additional questions, email Scott McDonald at the Saskatchewan British Car Club. We look forward to seeing lots of new faces and racers this year!
