I've started on a carb repair and rebuild that I hope will be done before the snow melts. I purchased the car with it already converted to the Weber 32/36 carburetor. I have known for a while that the carb took a hit at some point, resulting in the choke housing being broken and misaligned and never functioning as it should. So I found a replacement choke and a rebuild kit. Yesterday was the complete teardown and further discovery. A number of the fittings have been swapped out from their original settings. The car always seemed to need to have it set at a faster idle speed (900–950 rpm) for it to idle smoothly. So I will clean and rebuild what I have, but I'd love to hear some thoughts on the settings I've found. Let me know what you think.
